ModelBus Architecture

ModelBus is a platform based on SOA principles. It consists of a central bus-like communication infrastructure, a number of core services and a set of additional management tools. Depending on the usage scenario at hand, different development tools can be connected to the bus via tool adapters. Once a tool has been successfully plugged in, its functionality immediately becomes available to others as a service. Alternatively, it can make use of services already present on the ModelBus.

The particular strength of ModelBus is the automation of individual development steps by using the orchestration facility. It helps to automatically trigger and execute sets of actions needed for running a development process.
